I don't know if you received that same message with those games, but the error message that you received with Rain World seems pretty fixable, specially if it was Steam who produced it. Sometimes there are differences between Steam and GOG versions, sometimes the dependencies of a port that are installed by Steam break the port, and sometimes it just works :P Unfortunately that method not always work. I attempted today to get the steam version to install as you described. Hi there, first off: thank you for your support and also thanks for the great service you are providing! When you reach the advanced view, check the Steam checkbox and PK will do the rest for you ) You can install the Steam version of the game in the GOG port by pressing More -> Advanced Installation instead of Install. Not really helpful to share this on the steam group.

Portingkit requires the DRM-free gog.com version of the game.
